Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Forecasts BJP Victory In Jharkhand, Highlights Sand Smuggling Concerns

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma sparked political discourse during his visit to Khunti, Jharkhand, asserting confidence in the BJP’s prospects ahead of the state elections. Sarma, known for his vocal stance, declared, “Since the Lok Sabha elections, I have always believed that the formation of a BJP Government in Jharkhand is certain. Elections will be held and a BJP CM will take oath in Jharkhand.”

His remarks come amidst heightened political activity in Jharkhand, with various parties gearing up for upcoming electoral battles.

Sarma also drew attention to concerns over illegal sand smuggling across Jharkhand, without specifying the perpetrators. “Sand smuggling is rampant across the state. Did I say anything wrong by pointing this out? If something unethical occurs in the state, the moral responsibility lies with the Chief Minister,” he asserted, addressing a gathering in Khunti.
