BJP Is Only Party Owned By People: Maharashtra CM Fadnavis Launches Membership Drive In Nagpur

In a major event on Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) membership registration campaign, emphasizing the party?s unique position as being "owned by the people." The drive was inaugurated simultaneously across one lakh booths nationwide, marking a significant outreach effort.

Speaking at the launch in Nagpur, Fadnavis declared, ?Except for the BJP and the Communist Party, all other political parties are privately owned. The BJP is the only party that belongs to the people. It operates democratically from the grassroots to the top leadership. Only in the BJP can a tea seller rise to become the Prime Minister of the country.?

Highlighting the scale and ambition of the initiative, Fadnavis took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the campaign's progress. ?We have started the membership drive in one lakh booths simultaneously from today,? he wrote. He further revealed that within just two hours of the campaign?s launch, 25,000 people had enrolled as BJP members in Nagpur alone.

?Our target is to enrol 7 lakh people as members in the entire Nagpur city,? Fadnavis added, underscoring the party's extensive plans to expand its grassroots presence.

The BJP?s membership drive reflects its strategy to consolidate its organizational strength ahead of the upcoming elections. The party aims to attract more citizens to its fold, reinforcing its image as a people-centric and democratic organization.
