Amid the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Sinha accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of attacking his convoy in Khoriari village, Lakhisarai. Sinha alleged that RJD supporters blocked his vehicle, threw stones and cow dung, and prevented his polling agents from casting votes at booths 404 and 405.
“These are the goons of RJD. Satta mein aa rahi hai NDA... inke chhati pe bulldozer chalega. The goons are not letting me visit the village. Vijay Sinha is going to win,” Sinha told ANI. He described the incident as part of “hooliganism” by the opposition to intimidate voters.
Sinha, contesting for a fourth consecutive term from Lakhisarai, emphasized that the NDA’s return to power will bring strict action against such misconduct.
The RJD, however, denied the allegations and blamed Sinha for the confrontation. RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav said, “He is a liar. He gets Z+ security; it’s his party that controls the administration in the state.”
