Maharashtra is set to introduce e-bike taxis to provide affordable and eco-friendly transportation, Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced on Tuesday. Speaking about the initiative, Sarnaik said, "In our cabinet meeting, the Transport Department presented the proposal for bike taxis. I thank Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and all cabinet members for supporting the e-bike taxi initiative. Our goal is to make Maharashtra environmentally friendly. We have decided to introduce e-bike taxis on the roads. This will eliminate the need for passengers to pay triple fares. Single passengers will benefit from this initiative."
