Maharashtra is set to introduce e-bike taxis to provide affordable and eco-friendly transportation, Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced on Tuesday. Speaking about the initiative, Sarnaik said, "In our cabinet meeting, the Transport Department presented the proposal for bike taxis. I thank Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and all cabinet members for supporting the e-bike taxi initiative. Our goal is to make Maharashtra environmentally friendly. We have decided to introduce e-bike taxis on the roads. This will eliminate the need for passengers to pay triple fares. Single passengers will benefit from this initiative."

The initiative aims to reduce pollution and offer a cost-effective solution for daily commuters. With the green light from the Maharashtra government, e-bike taxis are expected to soon hit the roads, making transportation more accessible and sustainable.
