While India lights up its homes with diyas, sweets, and fireworks for Diwali, Indian Army soldiers stationed along the Line of Control (LOC) celebrated the festival in a distinctly patriotic manner. In a viral video circulating widely on social media, a group of jawans could be seen singing a fiery song near the border, proclaiming, “Give us two hours’ permission, and we’ll turn the enemy’s nation into smoke.”

The clip, shared across multiple platforms, captures the soldiers singing in unison with pride, confidence, and a clear message of readiness to defend the nation even amid festive celebrations. Netizens have flooded comment sections with praise, including messages such as, “So proud of our Army and defense forces as a whole,” and humor-laced appreciation like, “2 hours of permission & Pakistan’s Google Maps will say Error 404: Country Not Found.”

Meanwhile, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel marked Diwali along the International Border in Jaisalmer on Monday. The troops celebrated by bursting crackers, lighting candles, and placing earthen lamps along the border area. Commandant Mukesh Panwar of the 122 Battalion remarked, “We are observing the festival as a family,” highlighting the camaraderie and spirit among the troops.

The celebrations underscore the dual reality for India’s soldiers: while civilians enjoy festivities with family, these men and women stand vigilant at the borders, ensuring peace and security for millions across the nation.
