“Go Get Your Own Oil!” — Trump’s Blunt Message To Allies Amid Hormuz Crisis

US President Donald Trump has triggered fresh global controversy with a blunt message to countries that did not support American strikes against Iran, telling them to “go get your own oil” as the crisis around the Strait of Hormuz deepens.

In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump targeted nations facing fuel shortages due to disruptions in the Strait, including the United Kingdom, suggesting they either purchase oil from the United States or take matters into their own hands. He wrote, “All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you number one buy from the US we have plenty and number two build up some delayed courage go to the Strait and just take it.”

Escalating his remarks further, Trump made it clear that the US may no longer play its traditional role in supporting allies during conflicts. He said, “You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself the USA won’t be there to help you anymore just like you weren’t there for us Iran has been essentially decimated the hard part is done go get your own oil.”

The comments come at a time when the Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, remains under severe strain following continued tensions in the region. The strategic waterway is one of the most critical routes for global energy supply, with a significant share of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas passing through it daily.

More than a month after the United States and Israel launched initial strikes, Iran continues to exert pressure over the Strait, raising concerns about prolonged disruption to global fuel supplies. The situation has already begun impacting international markets, with fears of rising energy prices and supply shortages.

Trump’s remarks are being seen as a major shift in tone, signalling a tougher stance not only towards Iran but also towards traditional allies. His statement has added to growing uncertainty over how the crisis will unfold and whether countries will be forced to rethink their energy security strategies in the coming weeks.
