Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Monday termed the recovery of 350 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate from Faridabad as a “very serious matter,” assuring that a comprehensive investigation is underway to trace the source and motive behind the consignment.

Speaking to reporters, Vij said, “This is a very serious matter. Agencies are investigating where it came from, who supplied it, what their target was, what they intended to do and who their accomplices are. This entire matter is under investigation and the truth will come out.”

The suspected explosive material was seized following a joint operation by the Haryana Police and central intelligence agencies, after receiving a credible tip-off. Officials revealed that the consignment was found in a suspicious vehicle parked in the Faridabad industrial area, sparking security concerns across the National Capital Region (NCR).
