RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Friday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for allegedly ignoring key issues affecting Bihar during his recent two-day visit to the state. In a pointed post on X (formerly Twitter), Yadav criticized the Prime Minister for remaining silent on topics ranging from CM Nitish Kumar’s health to Bihar’s longstanding demands for employment and special status.

Sharing a photo of PM Modi wearing a face mask, Yadav captioned it, "Munh hi nahin khula (He didn’t even open his mouth)," taking a direct jab at the Prime Minister’s public appearances.

Yadav, who is currently in Kolkata with his wife following the birth of their second child, questioned Modi’s silence on the physical and mental health of Nitish Kumar, the JD(U) leader and NDA ally, who has been the subject of public concern due to alleged erratic behaviour.

Further, Yadav listed major issues that he said were left unaddressed:

The demand for special category status for Bihar

Rising unemployment

A crumbling healthcare system

Poor law and order

Worsening migration crisis

Tejashwi Yadav also refuted the BJP's claim that the PM had launched new projects worth over ₹50,000 crore, alleging that these were schemes that had already been announced back in 2015, now being “repackaged” for electoral purposes.

In a scathing comment, he blamed the BJP-led NDA’s 20-year rule in Bihar for “record-breaking joblessness, poverty and migration” in the state, urging people to look beyond the optics and question the substance of the visit.
