As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s subsequent military response, concerns began surfacing over possible disruptions in fuel and LPG availability. In response, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has issued a public reassurance, stating that its supply chains remain intact and that there is no cause for panic.
The statement comes amid a surge in online speculation and reports of sporadic panic buying in parts of northern India. However, Indian Oil clarified that fuel depots are fully stocked and that both petrol and diesel are being supplied seamlessly across all states. The company emphasized that LPG cylinders are also being delivered on time, without interruption.
Security across critical infrastructure, including fuel depots and transportation corridors, has been heightened following India’s large-scale retaliation against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor. Despite the military activity and elevated alert levels in border states like Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, IOCL’s logistics operations have remained unaffected.
