In a startling revelation, Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra allegedly shared sensitive details about blackouts during Operation Sindoor with Pakistan, according to a report by News18 citing top investigative sources.
Malhotra was reportedly in direct contact with an agent of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), raising major concerns over a potential security breach. The case, already being probed for links to espionage, has now taken a deeper turn with these blackout-related disclosures.
Sources told News18 that although chats between Malhotra and Pakistan High Commission official Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish ceased after March 2024, investigators have learned that the two were actively in touch during the period of Operation Sindoor. Danish was expelled from India on May 13 for his alleged involvement in spying activities.
Investigative agencies are currently examining two of Malhotra’s bank accounts for any suspicious financial transactions, and have also seized her three mobile phones and a laptop for forensic analysis.
Malhotra was arrested on May 17 under charges of spying for Pakistan. Authorities allege she travelled to Pakistan twice in 2023 and again in March 2024, just a month before the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir—a region she had also visited nearly four months earlier.
Today marks the end of her five-day police custody, following which she will be produced before the Hisar court.
