'Labeled As Pakistani Or American Agent For Advocating Peace', Says Farooq Abdullah

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday underscored the futility of war, emphasizing that lasting solutions to conflicts can only be achieved through dialogue. Speaking to reporters at the scenic tourist destination of Pahalgam, Abdullah said, “If I speak in favour of talks, I am labelled as a Pakistani or an American agent. I belong to this country, and this is my country. We have seen many wars, but no solutions have been reached through those wars. Be it Ukraine or Palestine or any other international problem, talks are the only way to reach a solution.”

Dr Abdullah also highlighted the current peaceful atmosphere in Kashmir, calling on people to visit and experience the natural beauty of the Valley. “Come and enjoy the air and the beauty of this place. The situation is very peaceful, and while the temperature outside the Valley is 37 degrees Celsius, it is soothing 25 degrees here,” he remarked. The NC leader was seen enjoying a game of golf at the lush Pahalgam golf course after spending the night in the town.
