In a tragic turn of events, another severe accident has occurred in Pune, involving the nephew of Dilip Mohite Patil, an MLA from Khed taluka. The nephew, Mayur Mohite, has been accused of reckless driving, resulting in the death of one individual and severe injuries to another in the early hours of Sunday.

A video circulating online shows the aftermath of the accident, featuring a damaged white Toyota Fortuner Legender. In the footage, bystanders can be seen dragging a motionless body from the bushes to the roadside, believed to be one of the crash victims. As the video concludes, occupants of the luxury SUV are seen exiting the vehicle.

According to ABP Maza, the incident occurred around midnight on the Pune-Nashik Highway near Kalamb. Mayur Mohite allegedly ran over two individuals in a horrific crash involving a motorcycle and his car. Om Sunil Bhalerao, 19, died instantly from the impact.

The police were alerted immediately after the accident and quickly arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. A case has been registered against Mayur Mohite, the nephew of MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, who is affiliated with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) under the Ajit Pawar faction. Authorities are also investigating whether Mayur was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that Mayur Mohite was driving towards Pune on the wrong side of the Pune-Nashik Highway at high speed when he collided head-on with two oncoming motorcyclists. The force of the collision threw the motorcycle into the air, causing fatal injuries to Om Bhalerao, who died instantly from a head injury. The other rider sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

This incident has sparked further controversy, following the recent notorious Porsche accident in Pune that raised serious questions about the local police administration. The involvement of another MLA's relative in a severe accident has intensified discussions within political circles.
