A major tragedy struck late on August 26 when the rear portion of the four-storey Ramabai Apartment on Narangi Road, between Chamunda Nagar and Vijay Nagar in Vasai, collapsed.
According to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 14 people have lost their lives in the incident. Rescue and relief operations are still underway, with teams working through the debris to search for survivors.
