Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday departed for a two-nation official visit to the United Kingdom and the Maldives, aimed at strengthening diplomatic, economic, and regional ties.
As part of the first leg of his journey, PM Modi will be on an official visit to the United Kingdom from July 23 to 24. His itinerary includes bilateral meetings with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, top business leaders, and members of the Indian diaspora. Key areas of discussion will include trade, defence cooperation, climate action, and the progress of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement.
In the second leg of his foreign tour, PM Modi will travel to the Maldives for a State Visit from July 25 to 26. During his stay, he is expected to meet Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu and other top officials. The visit comes at a crucial time, with India seeking to reaffirm its strategic partnership in the Indian Ocean region.
