Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed deep concern over the devastating impact of heavy rainfall, landslides, and cloudbursts in Himachal Pradesh, which have led to numerous deaths and widespread destruction across the state.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Priyanka Gandhi conveyed her distress over the tragic news emerging from various regions of the hill state. She described the reports of lives lost and people missing as "extremely distressing" and said her heart was pained by the scale of devastation.
She also extended prayers for the safety and well-being of Himachal’s residents and acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the local administration, along with NDRF and SDRF teams, who are actively involved in rescue and relief operations.
Highlighting the urgency of the crisis, Gandhi called on Congress leaders and party workers to step forward and provide maximum support to those affected by the natural disaster. She emphasized that the party stands in solidarity with the people of Himachal Pradesh during this challenging time.
