In a major jolt to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, 15 councillors have resigned from the party, including senior leader and councillor Mukesh Goel. The group has announced the formation of a new political outfit called the Indraprastha Vikas Party, claiming they were unable to serve the people due to persistent internal strife within AAP.

Announcing his resignation, Mukesh Goel said, "About 15 councillors have resigned from the primary membership of Aam Aadmi Party and formed a new party, Indraprastha Vikas Party. Despite being in power, we could not work for the service of the people of Delhi. We could not work due to internal conflicts..."

The development signals deepening cracks within AAP’s Delhi unit, especially at the municipal level.
