Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that all three terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack were eliminated in the Indian Army’s Operation Mahadev. The terrorists have been identified as Suleiman (also known as Faisal Jatt or Hashim Musa), Afghan, and Jibran.

Shah made the statement during a debate on Operation Sindoor. “In a joint Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police have neutralised three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack,” he said. “Suleman alias Faizal..., Afghan and Jibran, these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation. Suleman was an A-category commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Afghan and Jibran were also A-category terrorists. All three who killed our citizens in Baisaran Valley have been eliminated,” Shah added.

He told the House that Operation Mahadev was launched on May 22. The individuals who supplied food to the terrorists were detained earlier and later helped identify the bodies once they were brought to Srinagar.

Shah said, “The FSL report of the cartridges from the terror attack was already ready. Yesterday, the rifles of the three terrorists were seized and matched with the FSL reports. Further tests were carried out in Chandigarh yesterday, after which it was confirmed that these three were the ones who carried out the terror attack.”

Taking a swipe at the Opposition, Shah said, “I was expecting that when they hear this news of the killing of the Pahalgam terrorists, they will be happy, but instead they don't seem happy about it.”

The terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba’s shadow outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF), had initially claimed responsibility for the Pahalgam attack but later denied its involvement.
