In two separate road tragedies on Friday, at least 30 people lost their lives in Andhra Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh, prompting urgent responses from state leaders and the Prime Minister.

Andhra Pradesh: Bus Flips on Ghat Road, 9 Dead
A private passenger bus travelling on the Chinturu–Bhadrachalam ghat stretch in Alluri Sitarama Raju district overturned in the early hours of Friday, killing nine people on the spot. The steep, winding section of the road is notorious for sharp curves, and preliminary reports suggest the driver may have lost control while navigating a turn.

Emergency teams were dispatched immediately after locals alerted authorities. Many passengers suffered severe injuries, and several remain critical.

ASR District Collector Dinesh Kumar confirmed that the injured were moved to Bhadrachalam Government Hospital, where additional medical staff have been deployed.
