The political storm in Delhi intensified as Leader of Opposition Atishi strongly criticized the suspension of 21 AAP MLAs in the Delhi Assembly on Monday. She accused the Speaker of acting against constitutional norms by barring the legislators from entering the House despite their protest taking place outside the assembly premises.
"Yes, we did protest. We protested in front of Ambedkar's statue, which is not in the assembly complex. According to your rule book, that doesn’t come under the assembly premises. Yet, you stopped us illegally and unconstitutionally. It was not following the rule book," Atishi said during the proceedings, taking on the Speaker.

The mass suspension has triggered a political uproar, with AAP alleging that the BJP-led central government is stifling opposition voices in Delhi. The party maintains that the protest was peaceful and within legal bounds, questioning the justification behind the action.
