In a significant political move ahead of the upcoming Bihar elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expanded his cabinet today by inducting seven new ministers, all from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The swearing-in ceremony took place at Raj Bhavan, where Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office to the new ministers, bringing the total strength of the Bihar Cabinet to 36.
The expansion comes as the state gears up for elections later this year, with the BJP strengthening its position within the ruling alliance. The newly appointed ministers include:
- Sanjay Saraogi (MLA from Darbhanga)
- Dr. Sunil Kumar (MLA from Biharsharif)
- Jibesh Kumar (MLA from Jale)
- Raju Kumar Singh (MLA from Sahebganj)
- Moti Lal Prasad (MLA from Riga)
- Krishna Kumar Mantu (MLA from Amnour)
- Vijay Kumar Mandal (MLA from Sikti)
