Tensions escalated during the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections when Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate Vijay Kumar Sinha was involved in a heated confrontation with RJD MLC Ajay Singh in Nadiyawan under the Lakhisarai constituency.
In a video that quickly circulated on social media, Sinha accused Ajay Singh of creating disturbances after consuming alcohol, while Singh alleged that Sinha obstructed his vehicle. The argument reportedly arose after Sinha received information that some of his supporters were being prevented from voting in the area. Police arrived promptly to bring the situation under control.
RJD MLC Ajay Singh called Sinha a “criminal” and claimed the Deputy CM was intimidating voters. Sinha retaliated, calling Singh a “failed leader” and “drunk.”
Earlier in the day, chaos erupted in Sinha’s constituency as his convoy was reportedly attacked by crowds who threw slippers and stones, raised “murdabad” slogans, and blocked his vehicle. The BJP leader alleged that these actions were part of a deliberate attempt by RJD supporters to prevent voters from exercising their rights.
