Bihar’s political temperature soared on Monday as Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav took a sharp jibe at the BJP, responding to Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini's endorsement of Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary as the next chief minister.
Reacting to Saini’s remark, Tejashwi Yadav said, “BJP mein kaun CM nahi banega? Why are you creating a rift among them (NDA leaders)? Some other name (for CM) will come up after 2 days. They will keep fighting among themselves. The people of Bihar are going to bring Mahagathbandhan-RJD govt in the state.”
Yadav's comments come amid growing speculation and visible disarray within the NDA ranks in Bihar. Political observers say that the BJP, despite sharing power in the state with JD(U), appears to be facing internal competition and confusion over leadership projection ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
Slamming the BJP’s internal tug-of-war, Tejashwi confidently claimed that the people of Bihar have already made up their minds to elect a Mahagathbandhan government led by the RJD. He accused the BJP of being more focused on its internal power games than addressing the issues of unemployment, inflation, and law and order in the state.
