Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tajinder Bagga on Wednesday accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal of being involved in the circulation of fake MMS videos allegedly featuring Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The videos, released recently by a man named Jagman Samra, have triggered a legal and political storm.

Samra, who currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, claimed on his social media that the recently released clips are just a trailer, hinting that there are a total of eight such videos. He further challenged anyone who could prove the clips were AI-generated, offering a reward of one million dollars.

In response to the videos, authorities in Punjab have lodged an FIR against Samra at the Mohali cyber cell. The FIR cites violations under Sections 340(2), 353(1) and (2), 351(2), and 336(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).

The BJP has called for a thorough investigation into the matter, alleging that the videos are part of a politically motivated campaign to defame the Punjab CM ahead of key political developments. Meanwhile, social media platforms have been flooded with discussions about the authenticity of the videos and the potential use of AI in their creation.
