Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday (local time) for his two-day visit to the United States, where he is set to meet President Donald Trump. Upon arrival, PM Modi was escorted to Blair House, the official state guest house of the U.S. President.
Located at 1651 Pennsylvania Avenue, Blair House is no ordinary residence—it is often referred to as "the world's most exclusive hotel." A 7,000-square-foot extension of the White House, it consists of four interconnected townhouses with 119 rooms, 14 guest bedrooms, 35 bathrooms, three formal dining rooms, and even a fully-equipped beauty salon.
The historic guest house has hosted numerous world leaders, including Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth II, Charles de Gaulle, Golda Meir, Shimon Peres, Yitzhak Rabin, and Margaret Thatcher.
