Indian Army Foils Major Infiltration Attempt In Poonch, Seven Pakistani Intruders Neutralized

In a significant security operation, the Indian Army thwarted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Krishna Ghati sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Seven Pakistani infiltrators were reportedly killed during the operation.

According to India Today, sources suggest that among those neutralized, at least two to three were personnel of the Pakistani Army. The Army is believed to have ambushed Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), which often operates alongside terror groups to target Indian security forces.

While there is no official confirmation from the Indian Army yet, reports indicate that the infiltrators were likely members of the Al-Badr terrorist group. The encounter took place on the intervening night of February 4 and 5, marking another success for India’s counter-infiltration efforts in the region.
