Tension gripped Al-Falah University on Thursday as a bomb disposal squad was deployed following the discovery of a suspicious vehicle linked to an arrested terrorist involved in the November 10 car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. The silver Maruti Brezza, reportedly owned by terror suspect Dr. Shaheen Shaid, was found parked inside the university campus, prompting immediate security lockdown and a thorough inspection for possible explosives.
According to senior Haryana Police officials, the bomb disposal team cordoned off the area and began a detailed forensic and mechanical examination of the car. Early findings suggest that the vehicle may have been part of a larger terror plot involving multiple cars rigged with explosives for planned suicide missions in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
Investigators have so far recovered three vehicles linked to the module — Shaheen’s Swift, Umar’s i20, and a red EcoSport — all of which were reportedly modified for blast operations. The discovery of the silver Brezza on the university premises marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
