In a crucial political move ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan met BJP leader Nityanand Rai on Friday to finalise the NDA seat-sharing strategy. Paswan described the discussions as “positive” and hinted that the much-anticipated announcement is imminent.

Speaking to reporters, Paswan said, “The talks are going in a positive manner and are in their end stage now. The thing you’ve been waiting for will also happen very soon. Apart from seats, we are discussing everything in detail to ensure there’s never any problem within the alliance. Where our Prime Minister is, I don’t need to worry about my own respect.”

Bolstered by his party’s stellar performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where it won all five seats it contested, Paswan is targeting 40–50 constituencies this time. The BJP initially offered around 20 seats but has reportedly increased its proposal to 22. An official announcement is expected shortly.
