Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a scathing attack on the Nitish Kumar-led state government, citing a surge in criminal activity and the deteriorating healthcare situation at AIIMS Patna.
Addressing the media in Patna on Friday, Tejashwi Yadav said: "Criminals are on the loose in Bihar. Many incidents are constantly coming to light and the police seem helpless. The government is also sleeping, and it seems as if they have nothing to do with anything..."
He further expressed deep concern over the condition of patients at AIIMS Patna, stating that the hospital was facing severe mismanagement.
"There is so much unorganisation in AIIMS. Kin of patients were resting on roads. Patients are not getting beds..."
Tejashwi didn’t hold back in criticising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directly, alleging administrative failure and questioning his ability to lead the state: "The CM is in an unconscious state of mind and he is now incapable of staying on his post."
The remarks come amid increasing public outrage over rising lawlessness and the recent visuals of overcrowding and lack of basic facilities at AIIMS Patna going viral on social media.
