In a crucial all-party meeting, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, voiced strong concerns over national security and the well-being of families of martyrs. Addressing the press after the meeting, Kharge revealed the pressing issues raised by the Congress party during the discussions.

Kharge emphasized, "We all raised the issue of the security of our people living on borders and also suggested that those who lost their lives in the Poonch sector—their families should be taken care of. The government assured us that they would take all the needed steps."

The Congress leader also shared that while the party had made their stance clear, they did not press further on any issues deemed in the national interest. He said, "We didn't press further on any issue in the national interest..."

One of the key moments came when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded a special session of Parliament. "Rahul Gandhi demanded that a Parliament session be called as it would give a good impression," Kharge explained, adding that the call for a session was part of efforts to instill a positive message of action in the public.

Kharge also responded to ongoing political debates, stating, "They also said that all the propaganda that is going on is fake," reflecting the Congress' firm position on the issue of misinformation.
