The Congress party is set to launch its 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan' campaign after January 3, demanding the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his alleged derogatory remarks about Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh announced the campaign during a press interaction on Sunday, explaining the delay due to the party's 7-day mourning period for former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who passed away recently.

"The campaign that was announced in Belagavi has been put on hold till January 3 to observe a 7-day mourning for Dr. Manmohan Singh. After the 3rd, we will hold rallies for the 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan' campaign," Ramesh told ANI.

The campaign was first discussed during the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on December 26, where the party resolved to take a strong stance against Shah?s alleged remarks. The Congress aims to connect with a broad base of supporters, invoking the legacies of Mahatma Gandhi, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and the Indian Constitution.

The rallies, set to take place nationwide, are expected to emphasize the contributions of Ambedkar to India?s democracy while demanding accountability from Shah for his statements.
