With the Delhi Assembly elections approaching, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) campaign with his first Parivartan Rally on December 29 in Rohini. According to BJP sources quoted by ANI, this rally will mark the beginning of the party's push for the upcoming elections, which are expected to take place in February 2025.

While the Election Commission has yet to announce the official poll dates for the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the current Assembly?s term concludes on February 23, 2025. The BJP is gearing up for the elections as it seeks to challenge the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who aims for a third consecutive term following landslide victories in 2015 and 2020.

In preparation, the BJP held a key brainstorming session with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on December 24 at its headquarters in Delhi. According to an India TV report, Arun Kumar, the RSS leader overseeing coordination with the BJP, reviewed election strategies with senior party leaders to strengthen BJP-RSS collaboration.

Meanwhile, the BJP's Central Election Committee is expected to finalize and release its list of candidates by December 4, 2025, as hinted by party insiders. The BJP?s campaign is set to focus on themes of change and development, with PM Modi?s rally acting as a rallying point for party workers and supporters.

The AAP, riding on its past electoral dominance, won 67 seats in 2015 and 63 seats in 2020 in the 70-member Assembly. The BJP, however, is aiming to regain its foothold in the national capital and capitalize on its organizational strength and leadership under PM Modi.
