Tensions gripped Delhi’s Seelampur area after the shocking murder of a 17-year-old boy named Kunal, triggering protests and a strong police response. Locals, outraged by the brutal killing, blocked roads demanding swift justice, even as police officials confirmed that a manhunt is underway to arrest the culprits.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, responding swiftly to public outrage, said: "I have spoken to the Police Commissioner on the murder of 17-year-old Kunal. The police are after the accused, and they will be caught soon. FIR has been registered, and the police are on the job. Justice will be served."
The incident has sparked anger in the community, with residents taking to the streets in protest. Visuals from Seelampur showed locals blocking roads, demanding justice and increased safety for youth in the area. Heavy police deployment was seen to prevent the situation from escalating.
DCP (Traffic) Shashank Jaiswal assured action, stating: "Strict action will be taken against the accused."
A senior Delhi Police official added that “raids are being conducted and the investigation is underway. The accused will be caught soon.”
