In a major push towards strengthening primary healthcare infrastructure in the capital, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the inauguration of 33 newly constructed Ayushman Arogya Mandirs on June 14. These health centres are part of a larger initiative by the Delhi government to bolster grassroots medical access.
“Over 1,100 such health centres are being constructed across the capital to boost healthcare services,” CM Gupta stated during the announcement.
The Ayushman Arogya Mandir initiative aims to provide free consultations, basic diagnostic services, and medicines to citizens, particularly benefiting those from economically weaker sections.
Officials from the Delhi Health Department confirmed that these centres will operate in a decentralized manner, ensuring that local populations receive timely and quality primary healthcare without the need to travel to major hospitals.
