Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), part of the INDIA bloc, celebrated a victory in Punjab’s Jalandhar West, where candidate Mohinder Bhagat defeated BJP's Sheetal Angural by a substantial margin of over 37,000 votes.

In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee secured three assembly seats - Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, and showed strong performance in Maniktala. The party's success underscored its continuing dominance in the state's electoral landscape.
