A dramatic scene unfolded inside the Jharkhand High Court when a judge severely reprimanded IAS officer Feroz Kumar, accusing him of meddling in land compensation matters only to seek “commission.” A video of the scathing exchange has now gone viral, drawing massive public attention.
The confrontation occurred during a hearing on a land acquisition and compensation petition. When Kumar, who introduced himself as a project director, raised objections to the compensation awarded by the state, the judge lost patience.
“Who are you to object? Under which law are you objecting? If the state recognises someone as a ryot, who are you to deny it? You are an alien to the dispute,” the judge thundered.
The bench went further, hinting at corruption and kickbacks. “Commission chahiye aapko? Every case, you want commission? Under what authority have you objected? You are depriving citizens of their rightful award,” the judge charged.
In an explosive remark, the judge compared the officer to a monkey interfering in disputes for personal gain. “Boss, stop chasing commission. If there is a property dispute, will you jump in like a monkey to take a share?”
The court even threatened to initiate a probe into the officer’s assets and file an FIR if he continued obstructing compensation. “Kitna asset jama kar liya? Should I order an inquiry? You want commission in Jharkhand, nothing else. Either face contempt or I’ll register an FIR,” the judge warned.
