Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s younger son, Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav, is set to get married in a public mass wedding ceremony on November 30, where he will tie the knot with Dr. Ishita Patel. The unique decision has drawn appreciation statewide for promoting social equality and simplicity.
Mass wedding events—usually arranged by the government or social organisations—are traditionally meant to support couples from financially weaker sections. In this ceremony, a total of 21 couples will take their marriage vows alongside the CM’s son, making the event both symbolic and socially inclusive.
The wedding invitation card, now widely circulated on social media, highlights the Yadav family’s intention behind opting for a mass wedding format. The card emphasises the significance of promoting harmony and goodwill through collective celebrations.
In the invitation, CM Yadav made a humble request to guests to avoid bringing gifts, stressing that their blessings were the most valuable offering for the newlyweds.
The invitation note reads that the family chose a mass wedding format “to promote social harmony and goodwill,” adding that along with the 21 participating couples, Dr. Abhimanyu Yadav will also take the sacred seven vows and begin his new journey.
The message further appeals to all attendees to grace the ceremony with their presence and blessings while refraining from bringing gifts, reaffirming the programme’s spirit of simplicity.
