In the wake of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's praise for Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after the surrender of Naxals in Gadchiroli, state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule has also lauded Fadnavis for his relentless work in bringing development to the district.
Speaking at a press conference, Bawankule remarked, "Devendra Fadnavis has worked towards bringing Gadchiroli into the mainstream and ridding it of Naxalism. His efforts have been crucial in bringing development, industry, and employment opportunities to this region."
The BJP leader highlighted that the region, once severely impacted by Naxal insurgency, has undergone significant transformations due to Fadnavis' leadership. "Gadchiroli has seen positive changes in its infrastructure, industrial prospects, and overall employment opportunities. Under the guidance of Devendra Fadnavis, this district is now progressing towards a brighter future," Bawankule added.
Bawankule?s statements come in the wake of the recent surrender of 11 Naxalites, including a prominent figure named Tarakka, in Gadchiroli. The move is seen as a significant step towards restoring peace and development in the region, long plagued by extremist activities.
Gadchiroli, a district in Maharashtra that had long been a hotbed of Naxalite activity, has been gradually transforming under the leadership of Fadnavis, who has focused on the overall upliftment of the district. This includes the promotion of industries, better connectivity, and employment for local communities.
