Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha on Sunday levelled serious allegations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming that her administration is creating fake documents to manipulate voter bases. Lodha, speaking to the media, described Banerjee as a “terrorist” and accused her of orchestrating a large-scale scheme to benefit her party politically.
“Earlier, Bengal and its border areas were under communist rule, but now they are under the control of Mamata Banerjee, whom I consider a terrorist. To expand her vote bank, she has set up multiple centers in every district — sometimes more than ten. At these centers, old birth certificates of Bengal residents are created. Children are then enrolled in schools and issued certificates after completing their high school education. After that, they are sent to places like Mumbai, Assam, and several other locations,” Lodha alleged.
The minister claimed that the initiative was part of a deliberate strategy to extend Banerjee’s political influence beyond West Bengal, suggesting that these children, armed with newly issued certificates, could be used to influence elections in other states.
