Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil has made a sensational claim, stating that Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde, along with his associate Walmik Karad—who was arrested in the Beed sarpanch murder case under MCOCA—met him before the assembly elections, allegedly seeking his support.

"Dhananjay Munde had been calling me for eight days. He came to meet me at 2 AM before the assembly elections, accompanied by Karad. They waited for a long time, so I met them. Munde told me to take care of him during the election. He even introduced Karad to me," Jarange Patil said on Monday.

The activist further claimed that while leaving, Munde touched his feet.

On the Maratha reservation issue, Jarange Patil reiterated his commitment, stating, "The Maratha community will get reservation 100%." He also made an emotional appeal to the youth, urging them not to take extreme steps.

"Yesterday, some youths ended their lives in Beed, Jalna, and Sillod. They should not do this. Instead, they should focus on education," he urged.

Calling on Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to expedite the reservation process, Jarange Patil warned of a larger agitation if action was delayed.

"How many more youths should end their lives? The Chief Minister should consider Maratha youths as his own and ensure early reservation. Otherwise, the community will be forced to launch a massive protest," he said.
