In a sensational revelation, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri has publicly admitted that his chief, Maulana Masood Azhar, operated terror missions from Pakistan after being released in the Kandahar hijack swap. Kashmiri confessed that Balakot served as Azhar’s base — the same hub reduced to rubble by India’s airstrikes in 2019.

On stage, flanked by masked gunmen, Kashmiri declared: “After escaping the prison of Tihar Jail in Delhi, Amir-ul-Mujahideen Maulana Masood Azhar comes to Pakistan. The soil of Balakot provides him a base to carry forward his mission and programme.”

In his shocking admission, Kashmiri went further — glorifying al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden as a “martyr” and openly confirming Azhar’s hand in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the 2001 Parliament attack.

Earlier, another viral video showed Kashmiri breaking down while acknowledging that Azhar’s own family was wiped out in India’s Operation Sindoor on May 7.

“Maulana Masood Azhar ki family ke log – behne, bete, bachhe – tukde tukde ho gaye,” Kashmiri said, admitting that the JeM chief’s kin were torn apart in Bahawalpur.

He further revealed that former Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir had personally ordered military commanders to attend funerals of slain terrorists, with the air force securing the ceremonies and soldiers saluting the JeM dead in uniform.

Notably, on the night of May 7, 2025, India carried out its boldest strike yet — destroying nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 25 innocent lives.
