A Fire Brigade official confirmed to news agency, "Two JCBs were set ablaze, and a few more vehicles were impacted. One fireman sustained injuries."

DCP Nagpur Archit Chandak, addressing the situation, stated, "This incident occurred due to some miscommunication. The situation is under control now, and our force is strong. I appeal to everyone to not step out or pelt stones. We used tear gas as a show of force after stone pelting began. A few police personnel were injured, and I also sustained a minor leg injury. We urge people not to trust rumors, maintain peace, and support the police in restoring order."

Muslim groups have alleged that the unrest was triggered after Bajrang Dal and VHP activists reportedly burned a sheet with the Kalma written on it during their protest, further inflaming tensions in the area. However, police have not yet confirmed the claims and have urged people to refrain from spreading unverified information.
