After the dip, PM Modi performed Rudraksh Jap and offered prayers to the Ganga, marking the spiritual significance of the occasion. He later performed Ganga Aarti, seeking blessings for the nation. February 5 is particularly sacred for Hindus as it coincides with Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami.
