BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party over its remarks following the recent revelations about India's alleged missile strike on Pakistan’s Nur Khan Air Base. Trivedi accused the grand old party of displaying “frustration” and “a complete lack of nationalist perspective.”
Responding to Congress leaders' skepticism and allegations of political diversion, Trivedi said, “We can clearly understand that the Congress party, unable to demand any evidence at this point, is expressing its frustration through such statements.”
The BJP MP invoked a direct quote from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to validate the seriousness of the incident. “If they believe this is some kind of diversion, then I would just like to quote the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, who, on record, said that during the night between the 9th and 10th — these are his exact words — ‘During the night of the 9th and 10th, our Chief of Army Staff, General Sahir Asim Munir, woke me up at 2:30 AM and told me that India had fired a missile at the Nur Khan Air Base,’” Trivedi asserted.
Highlighting what he termed as the Congress party’s “blindness to national security concerns,” Trivedi added, “Now, if such a major development, a missile strike at Nur Khan Air Base, is not visible to the Congress, then I believe the lens of nationalism has completely vanished from their vision.”
