Early Life and Education

Rachna Ankurbhai Hirpara, daughter of Ankurbhai Mansukhbhai Hirpara, was born and raised in Gujarat. She was 31 years old at the time of filing her election affidavit in 2021. She completed her education from Prathmik Shala Kundheli in the academic year 2001–02. Her humble academic background reflects a grassroots connection to her community and a commitment to public service despite limited formal education.

Political Career

Rachna Hirpara began her political journey as a candidate of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and was elected as the Corporator from Ward 17 (Puna East) during the 2021 Surat Municipal Corporation elections. Her victory came at a time when AAP made significant inroads into urban Gujarat politics. She has since served her constituency as a dedicated civic representative.

Political Allegations 

In April 2023, Rachna Hirpara alleged that several AAP corporators, including herself, were approached with monetary offers—reportedly up to ₹50 lakh—by members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to switch allegiance. However, she firmly denied any such defection and continues to represent AAP with loyalty. 3. Ensure regular maintenance and cleaning of stormwater drains before monsoons to prevent flooding.

4. Advocate for an increase in green spaces, including the creation of small parks and plantation drives.

5. Promote the establishment of CCTV surveillance in key public locations to enhance safety.

In her 2021 affidavit, Rachna Hirpara declared personal assets worth approximately ₹6.7 lakh. These included a Honda Amaze car, a two-wheeler (Activa scooter), and approximately 50 grams of gold. She reported no liabilities, no criminal record, and identified herself as self-employed.
