In a strong show of support for the ongoing military operation against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday lauded the Indian government and armed forces for launching "Operation Sindoor" in response to the recent terror attack on Hindu pilgrims in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the RSS said,
"Hearty congratulations to the leadership of the Government of India and the armed forces for the decisive action ‘Operation Sindoor’ being taken against the Pak-sponsored terrorists and their supporting ecosystem after the cowardly terrorist incident of Pahalgam."
The organisation asserted that the operation was a necessary step towards delivering justice to the victims of the brutal Pahalgam attack and restoring national morale.
"This action being taken to provide justice to the aggrieved families and the entire country in the brutal massacre of Hindu pilgrims has increased the self-respect and courage of the entire country."
The RSS also reaffirmed its belief in the importance of targeting not just the perpetrators, but also the infrastructure and networks aiding terrorism from across the border.
"We also believe that the military action being taken against terrorists, their infrastructure and supporting system in Pakistan is a necessary and inevitable step for the security of the country," the statement added.
In a message of national unity, the RSS said the country stands firmly behind the armed forces and government.
"In this hour of national crisis, the entire country stands with the government and armed forces of the country with body, mind and money."
The statement ended with a condemnation of the Pakistani army’s alleged attacks on civilian and religious sites along the border.
"We condemn the attacks by the Pakistani Army on religious places and civilian settlements on the Indian border and express our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who became victims of these attacks."
"Operation Sindoor" is being seen as a significant escalation in India’s military posture following heightened tensions with Pakistan. The operation reportedly involves precision strikes on terror infrastructure across the border, although official details remain classified.
