An intense gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Chhatru area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Wednesday, November 5, following credible intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the region.
According to officials, a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police was launched in the early hours of the day. The area was swiftly cordoned off, and a search operation was initiated. The encounter began when the terrorists opened fire on the security team, prompting forces to retaliate effectively.
