Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and newly elected MLA from Raghopur, Tejashwi Yadav, has been officially appointed as the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The announcement came after a crucial meeting of RJD legislators held at Tejashwi’s official residence in Patna.
The meeting was convened to analyse the Mahagathbandhan’s poor performance in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, where the alliance managed only 35 of 243 seats, with the NDA storming to 202 seats. The RJD, the largest party in the coalition, secured just 25 seats, prompting senior leaders to conduct an in-depth review.
