Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday delivered an emotional and aggressive message to party workers, making it clear that the Shiv Sena cannot be erased by political power or pressure. Speaking at a large gathering in Mumbai, Thackeray said the BJP was making a big mistake if it believed the Sena could be finished.

The event was held at Shanmukhananda Auditorium to mark the beginning of the birth centenary year of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. Addressing a packed hall, Uddhav said Shiv Sena is not just a political organisation but a powerful idea rooted in the hearts of people.

He said, “Shiv Sena is not merely a political party, it is an idea. If anyone thinks they can wipe out the Shiv Sena, they are mistaken.”

Referring to the political turmoil of the past few years, Thackeray said he and his cousin Raj Thackeray were used to facing difficult situations. He compared their journey to surviving repeated storms and said challenges only make them stronger.

Uddhav praised Shiv Sena workers for standing firm during tough times and said he had received messages from across India appreciating how the party fought back despite pressure and setbacks. He credited party workers for protecting the Sena’s identity at the ground level.

Taking a direct swipe at his rivals, Thackeray said, “There have been attempts to erase the name of Shiv Sena, but they failed. You stopped these efforts during the recent BMC elections.”

He also made serious allegations about the municipal polls, claiming that money was openly distributed to influence voters. According to him, such practices were seen for the first time in Mumbai’s civic elections, raising serious questions about the fairness of the process.
