Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Institute of Brain and Health Sciences (IBHAS) and expressed concerns over the hospital’s long-standing lack of essential medical equipment.
“IBHAS is a very large center where neurological problems are addressed… But unfortunately, the previous governments did not pay attention to such a large asset. When I received complaints regarding this hospital, that’s why I came here today,” Gupta said.
The CM highlighted that critical equipment has been missing for years. “There has been no MRI machine here since 2012, no CT scan machine, and limited opportunities for X-ray and ultrasound are unfortunate for us,” she noted.
To address these gaps, Gupta announced a major initiative: “We have decided that we will build a new building structure for IBHAS and in this financial year itself, we will provide all the machines that are needed here.”
