Patna: Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rabri Devi has launched a sharp attack on the state government over the worsening law and order situation, citing reports of 22 murders in just two days during Holi. She questioned the government’s claims of good governance, asserting that the state is in complete turmoil.
Speaking on the matter, Rabri Devi said, "If 22 murders happened in 2 days during Holi, then how many might be happening every day? They say there is good governance here, law and order is fine. Where is the law and order fine?"
Highlighting the vulnerability of law enforcement officials themselves, she asked, "If government officials, inspectors, and constables are being murdered, then what about the common people?" The RJD leader expressed deep concern over the rising crime rates, claiming that no one in Bihar feels safe anymore.

Slamming the ruling government’s governance model, Rabri Devi compared the current situation with her party’s past tenure, countering accusations often leveled at the RJD era. She remarked, "This is Mangalraj; such things did not happen in Jungle Raj. Inspectors and constables were not murdered. This is happening in Mangalraj, where no one is safe."
Her statement has reignited the political debate in Bihar, where the opposition has repeatedly attacked the government over the increasing incidents of violence. The ruling coalition, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has often claimed that Bihar’s law and order situation has significantly improved over the years, but incidents like these raise serious questions about the ground reality.
